WHEREAS, Landmark Port Huron, LLC, 313 ½ Huron Avenue, Suite 203, Port Huron, Michigan, has applied for a Neighborhood Enterprise Zone Rehabilitation Certificate as allowed under the authority of P.A. 147 of 1992, as amended; and

 

WHEREAS, the properties below are within the Downtown Neighborhood Enterprise Zone Number 1, which was designated as such on November 28, 2005, by the Port Huron City Council at:

WHEREAS, the application meets the necessary criteria;

 

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Port Huron City Council does hereby approve the application for 202/206/208 Huron Avenue from Landmark Port Huron, LLC, for a Neighborhood Enterprise Zone (NEZ) Rehabilitation Certificate and authorizes the City Clerk to forward the application to the State Tax Commission; and

 


BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the above certificate will be issued for the period of December 31, 2017, through December 31, 2026, the first six (6) years, consisting of full abatement only on the increased value of the rehabilitated portion of residential units and the last three (3) years a graduated payment that follows the formula outlined in the state act.
